yes, seriously, it happened this past tuesday morning.
i saw a jw going to my neighbor's house across the street, so i waited patiently for a knock on my door that never came (at least in the 2 and a half hours before i had to leave the house).

"Now that is funny! I lived in the same house for ten years and not once did I have a JW come to my door. My brother even talked to the congregation about it and the elders told them they had and had spoken to me. It was untrue. I never figured it out, but I know nobody talked to me, nor did anybody come back. I saw JW's at my block several times a month and never did they stop at my door. They just skipped my house" LOL what's your address and we'll sign you up for a visit. hehe.

by bite me inokay, so i came across this 'world wide message" not sure how old the pamphlet is, but i came across something that i thought was interesting.
there is a section called false religion; the headlines read meddles in war and politics spreads false doctrine and tolerates immoral sex.
if you have this article look at tolerates immoral sex.. there is a sentence that reads : "even churches that condemn immorality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children.

i decided to see what it said in the nwt and it was very similar just that it read life everlasting instead of eternal life.
i realized that they didn't lower case the 'g', unless i overlooked it, when saying jesus was god or even a god.

that is what I thought. I looked at it again and it does show a capital God. this caught my attention because to me it seems like they are talking about Jesus.

Why I will NEVER be an elder again

at latest round of co to elders meeting, the co quoted from the society outline.
any elder or ms who encourages college for his kids or others or who allows his children to go to college will no longer qualify.. he then asked if i was going to take the cos encouragement and reach out again to be an elder and get my hours on the ministry up.. i replied "i will never be an elder again - i strongly approve of further education and college and have been through college myself.

I would hate to be in this posistion of not being able to get higher education. I love to learn and I will keep doing so and when I have kids I will allow them to go onto what they want. No organization is going to stop them.
